well, my tranny is puking fluid. it leaks really bad. Its been doing it for some time and there is fluid and goo coating the while underside of my car. It still shifts really well so I don't plan on doing much to it. So I guess its time to replace the seals. The rear seal and pan gasket looks real easy (done the gasket before). There is fluid every where so I would venture to say the front seal is leaking too so I'm planning on pulling the trans. Probably replace the Rear Main Seal on the engine while I'm in there. my question, how hard is it to remove the front seal? Can it be done without taking the trans apart? Can it be easily replaced? What about the drain back hole enlargement modification? Can that be done without taking the trans apart? Are there any other possible leak points I'm not accounting for? other seals? I've replaced the speedo gear so that O-ring should still be good. I've never worked on an auto trans before. Answers and additional tips would be greatly appreciated. oh, how much does the 200-4R weigh?

Thanks,
Morgan

the leak points are front seal ,rear seal ,case connector o ring ,pressure taps ,manual linkage seal ,pump o ring ,filler tube boot and tv cable boot ,speedo, and pan gasket..allcan be fixed w/out dismantling the trans except the pump oring .also make sure the bushing in the pump and in the tail are not worn .drain back holes require trans dissassembly.www.ckperformance.com
