Tranny shift kit install by a shop $$$$$ ?

I checked with a tranny shop and they were thinking 400 bucks.....is that the going rate.......he was going to do some research and then get back to me. I wish I could find a shop around me that knows these tranny in and out........

How much is to much and is it worth it to do if i may have to rebuild it in a year or two?? 95k on tranny totally stock!!

Does that shop employ lawyers to do their work?

Do it yourself. Really. Valve body kits come with step-by-step instructions intended for the do it yourselfer and you won't need any fancy tools.

You'll have the kit in your transmission, the cash in your pocket and the pride in knowing you did it yourself.

I'm also curious about the shift kit install, just got my PTS kit and I'm wondering if I should get someone to install or just do it myself.. I just hate to have my car run like crap because I put the kit in wrong...
