tranny shift to soon and caused a loss to a Firehawk

i pulled up next to a Firehawk on friday and he didn't go with me at first light so i didn't think he was going to go with me at all so i left it in drive. but at the next light had just turned green while we were coming to a stop he gunned it and we went my tranny shifted out of first at 22 mph witch caused hime to jump out about one car. i started to catch him when i shifted it manualy. so how do i fix this problem? the 1/2 shifts at like 22 mph and 2/3 shifts about 35 mph. just had the tranny rebuilt and built with shift kit, bigger heavy duty bands, ten vane pump kit, high rev kit, stock converter restalled to 3200. i cant seem to get a different result other than worse out of adjusting my tv cable. does any thing else help control where the tranny shifts at? any thing that i can adjust? my tps is weak could that be the problem? you need to modify your governor.search in the tranny section.

i took the car back to the tranny guy and he replaced the spring with a softer one in the governor and it is so much better he still wants to tweek it a little more next week so i will keep posting with the progress. thanks
