Not sure what the deal is, but I hope someone here can help.
Anyways, I was stopped at a redlight on a very slight up going hill, trans in overdrive & when I went to go (light throttle) the car hesitated & then kinda jerked into gear. It shifted fine in every gear on the way home & never did it again, so I checked the trans fluid, it was full & smelled slightly burnt. I put the car in drive & gave it some gas while holding the brake & it felt fine. Shifted from drive to reverse & back gain several times, but could not reproduce the slippage.
Any help diagnosing this situation would be appreciated.

Thanks, The Darkside:cool:

PS: Trans & convertor are 100% stock...140,000 miles

The beginning of the end............ You could change the fluid and filter and pray it lasts a few months. 140,000 miles? I'd say GM did a fine job? Maybe you'll get lucky and it will go another year, who knows. Good luck.

Welp, I think that poor trans has done pretty well, considering the power the motor's making. new clutches and "stuff" would probably translate to a quicker car....

Well, I went out & gave it another quick drive to see if it would act up again....which after the trans warmed up it did. It was slipping when I left from a stop sign(which was only 3 times), so I hope I kept the damage to a minimal. Rebuild is going to happen starting on Monday......
I guess I should just be happy that it lasted as long as it did & I am, but these trans are so tough to rebuild right & make them dependable that you hate getting into them if you don't have to.From what I've heard from a few other Turbo Buick guys around here, there's an excellent Turbo Buick mechanic/tuner in Rockwall Tx by the name of Jack Laswell that knows how to rebuild these tranny's right, so I'll let you guys know how it works out.
