Trans cooler lines

What are the thread/flare on the trans cooler lines (SAE flare, inverted flare, ???). I need to fab up a couple of stub lines, about a foot long) to snake around the tans / tunnel / mid plate etc to get to the flex lines to the trans cooler (where I'll switch to AN stuff).

5/16" outside diameter tubing, and Inverted Flare fittings.
Be sure to double-lap any tubing flared ends you fabricate .

Thanks. I was afraid it would be 5/16. Dash-5 AN stuff is not very common (and my trans cooler is already fitted with Dash 6 ends).

Maybe I can remove the brass fittings from the trans case and replace them directly with an AN-6 adapter. Are they pipe thread or ???

Fittings from the trans case are NPT pipe thread, although offhand don't recall if it's 1/8" or 1/4" , should be apparent at a glance.

Another Option,
Aeroquip #FCM2963 is an adapter fitting that is -06AN male flare on one end, and a 5/8"-18 inverted male thread on the opposite end.
5/8"-18 is the Inv Flare thread size used for 5/16" OD tubing.

And a final option, take a common 5/16" OD Inv Flare adapter (male or female NPT opposite end), and mate it to a common 6AN flare adapter (female or male opposite end). Functionally equivalent to the Aeroquip #FCM2963, but longer length.

In my own case, I'm planning to keep the stock steel 5/16" tranny lines up to the Inv Flare unions near the radiator, and then use the Aeroquip FCM2963 adapter to allow 6AN Aeroquip Socketless Hose & fittings for the final runs to the external tranny filter & cooler.

Thanks. I'll look up the Aeroquip fittings, although just switching to normal NPT to AN fittings may be preferred as it should be a little bit shorter, and trans tunnel clearance in my car is very tight.
