trans experts is this bad,,see pics

bought a motor and trans that is supposed to be a level 10 trans ,maybe was 20 yrs ago.... seller said no damage to trans ,but the tail shaft was all tape up like it was taped to keep it centered so it would not leak oil while being shipped.I can move the tail with my pinky finger with no effort at all....took tape off and oil poured out,,,crate has no damage in that are of where it sat....

ouch... im parting out a 87 we4 its got a good tranny if you need one, you could even drive it to see

All transmissions are this way unless they have tappered roller bearings at the support locations. Theoretically the centrifugal force would be equal if the piece was balanced and will center on its own. The yoke centers the shaft in reality since there is always going to be some runout. Be sure your yoke and rear bushing is not worn or you will have a tremendous amount of runout at that location which will lead to other problems besides the vibration.
