I recently dropped the pan on my tranny to install a new filter, but I don't think I got out the old filter's O-ring out. I also mistakenly left the magnet out of the pan. Is it worth dropping the pan again to fix these things?

YES!!!! Dropping the pan isn't bad! When you do put a drain plug in it. Getting the seal out can be a pain.

Definately! if it's the orange seal and you now have two of them in there it won't seal properly, and having the magnet in is a definite plus and for the $10 for a drain plug kit that would be wise also.
