trans may be slipping

have 86 gn and when it goes from 2 to 3 it feels weak a long shift., all other shirts are fine. When I hammer down on it the rpms and boost shoots up feel like spinning ,but not any thought what could be happening? the tran fluild less than 2000 miles doesnt smell burnt just put new engine in trans set for 2 years fluid in trans was dark but no shaveing in pan..
