what would cause trans oil to turn more pink than red and shifts are not as hard as before.Trans always full

A water leak in the oil cooler. Usually there will be ATF in the radiator also.

THANKS car is on stands right now and i am hibernating in florida i will check rad as soon as i get back to the snow belt..could it be air being picked up by a cracked oil filter tube causeing a milkshake condition?????

sounds like water to me also. Air will just get foamy looking not pink.You will most likely be redoing that trans.sorry. mike

If it looks like Pepto Bismol It is definitly water. NO DOUBT>

Time to tear down BEFORE failure which is iminent if not torn down and flushed.
