Howdy! I had a new trans put in my 1994 Bonneville SSEi. It worked fine for about a week, then, after driving it about 20 miles it started slipping so bad it wouldn't move. After cooling down it engaged fine for two laps around a small parking lot and then began slipping again--like it was losing pressure and couldn't hold the clutches against each other.
The car had been occasionally throwing a neutral safety switch code, but it always cleared up. Now the code stays hard. My understanding of the NSS is that it's just a lock-out--but can it affect trans pressure or engagement?
I didn't know if I should put this thread in the trans section as it's not a Buick or turbo car. If it needs to be moved, please do.
Thanks.
Keith
