I just got my motor in the car and it's pretty strong. Well, I have noticed that the trans is starting to shift inconsistantly. I pulled the dipstick and the fluid is'nt as pink as it used to be. Its not brown or anything, just seems darker than newer stuff. It also has a slight burnt smell. I am running an Art Carr 9 in and a pretty large cooler on the car. I mounted the cooler horizontal below the front mount. Two questions. Is the cooler getting enough airflow the work correctly and if I change the fluid and filter now, can I head off major problems or is the damage done.
