Getting ready to install extender chip. Read some past posts on it. Some say to switch third dip switch to off. Can't find anything in the translator instructions for this. My current dip switch settings are on on on off. I have the Translator not the plus if that matters

Thanks,
John Hordych

Third dip switch should be OFF. This turns OFF the MAF limiter, since you are going to use an extender chip now, which is programmed to read the additional air flow sensing capacity of the LT1 MAF sensor.

If you run another chip, you would need to turn the limiter back on, switch 3 ON. You going to really like the extender chip, see my sig. It is the best my car has ever run with this chip. If you wire your Translator into the car, you can adjust Base and WOT fp from there when reading your scantool. Convenient, or maybe too convenient :D for messing around with things. I just ran the Trans + into the car last night.
