I've been reading about upgrading the stock MAP. Translator was mentioned and I found three variants:
MAF translator for LS1/Lt1
MAF translator pro
MAF translator gen 2
The pro and gen 2 appear to enable the user to edit some data. The translator does not. Do I need the standard translator before I can use the pro or gen 2? Or is each translator a stand alone component with different bells and whistles?
Do I need a specific vendors chip and/or software for the translator??
Would I tune with the pro or gen 2 along with the data that the power logger provides or are the power logger and translator two seperate tuning tools??
If the power logger and translator pro/gen 2 are two different tuning tools, which is preferred in the TB community?
I'm new to the scene and I am being a sponge on the board. I want to do it right the first time. Thanks in advance.
