Transmission Fluid

What fluid type and/or brand should I use. Fully synthetic or natural? Should I mix gear oil in? [Bruce what should I use?] Is there a big advantage using a full synthetic? I've used mobile 1 before. TIA

Vince Janis (Janis Transmissions) who rebuilds 200-4R and TH400 trannies told me to use Valvoline Dexron III w/ Mercon...nothing else...this is on a $1800 rebuilt tranny...I would think he knows what he is talking about!

Amzoil "torque drive" direct replacement for the allison at 75% the cost. 4 gallons where about 95.00 but it is the BEST period. Plenty of tranny builds locally are running it and all hit hard under WOT. Just my .02..

I use Chevron torque fluid. $37 for 5 gallons Best out there for our trannies
