OK guys. I'm still trying to prepare for a HOT TX summer.

On the norm, how many degrees will a tranny cooler drop off cooling temp.?

Thanks In Advance

I would say 20-25 degrees in series with the factory one.

Haven't measured mine in 15 years though. ;)

Straightforward mod. for these cars. I just do it routinely. :)

I have heard it is about 20 degrees as well. Any little bit you can cool your tranny fluid the longer your tranny will last. I would recommend a B&M stacked plate design tranny cooler. Get the biggest one you can. Summit Racing has a nice big one for $50 and it comes with all necessary hardware to hook it up. Very straight forward install that shouldnt take longer than 30 minutes. Something no TR should be without!

I second that B&M "race" cooler. I just installed this unit in addition to my 27k GVW cooler that has been on the car for eons. I finally installed a tranny temp gauge and almost **** when I saw how fast the temps rise while on the T brake. I hope to lesson the damages of high temps this year.

Will adding the tranny oil cooler also make a difference on the water temp.? If so, how much?

Thank you once again
