I was waiting my new GN for 8 weeks to arrive. Today it arrived to Finland.
Transmission works well forward but reverse wont work, where is problem?
Seller says it worked well. could something get broken while long transportation?

Do you know what transmission you have? 200-4R, 400, 4L80E,350??
The reason I ask is that some transbrake equipped 400's need transbrake switch activated for reverse.
Other possibilities are internal problems, if you dare, test drive vehicle to see if third gear works, if it does but reverse doesn't, problem is in Low/Reverse Clutch or Low Band(400/4L80E) Good luck.

Transmission

Car is stock 1984 GN. I think it is original stock transmission.
I can check it tomorrow.

Well, stock is 200-4R, not often does reverse just"go-out", except if the sun shell stripped it's splines, which would also take out 2nd,3rd,4th. Which can happen with non hardened 1984 pieces.

Well that definitely did not happen during shipping. :frown: Hope you have a competent builder over there.

Depends on how many hands it passed through during shipping. Was it sealed in a container for the entire time? Or did people have access to it to move it around during shipping?

Good point Dave. Who knows, they may have been doing burnouts in the container.
Most likely it was in a sealed container Port to Port.

Transmisson

It is long way from there, so there have been many hands!
It is not unusual if someone likes to play with your car.
My friend who have no experiense of those cars picked it up, so car is halfway here in finland. but now its in my friends transmission shop. But it will cost...

I have also have to strengthenin my turbo-t transmission, but it is cheaper to buy one from you guys there, than make it here...
