Trasmission fluid question

I currently use Dexron III tranny fluid in my car and was wondering if there is anything better than this? Also I heard that you should fill the trans fluid a little more than the full level on the dipstick because it helps the converter or something? can someone elaborate on this? thanks!

Many old threads on this. Do a search in the archieves. If no luck call me and I will explain all of the facts in detail. As for fluid do a search on here for mobil424 fluid. We use a mix of tractor hyd and atf. I can elaborate on this when you call as I am pressed for time tonight. I am sure you understand
