ok guys i'm gonna need some help, one of the guys at work has a tta, thats not running. timing chain broke a few years ago and bent some valve so he tore it down got heat fixed and put it all back together, now he says it wont start. i been bugging him about selling it and he wanted to get it running first that was 2 years ago today he said make me an offer so i'm gonna try and check it this week and post up pics, i have no idea what to offer i bought by first ttype in 99 for 2500 knowing it needed a rebuild.

mileage? interior condition? performance parts? paint condition? rust? million variables here

yea i know gonna check it out this week i know for sure no rust or mods thou.

Seat covers are quite expensive. Rear upper seats are special as well so make sure to check them out as well. Dash pads frequently crack. Check the rear spoiler, make sure all the emblems are still on the car. Check the condition of the intercooler scoop as it is unique, see if he has the owners kit, see if the correct exhaust tips are on it! Etc....

Its all relative to the car and what you want to do with it. I just bought a non running tta for 5k. Actually traded a running/driving t-type for it. But the parts it came with and the shape of the car made it worth it to me.

yea know, when i look at it i'll snap some pics and post details, i'd do a few mods on it but mainly would be a driver and fun car for me just like the buick

if the motors is bad, i cant throw the one form my 87 in it if the head on the tta are good, i'll talk to hime more tommoroow, hopefully i can check it out before school
