What temp thermostat should I use and which plugs should I use? Thanks Steve

I run a 160 degree thermostat. The spark plug recomendation will get you a variety of answers. I run the one step AC delco cooler plug gapped to 33 thousanths. Good luck. Brad

If you are running the stock chip, and stock boost levels, I would recommend the stock heat range for the plugs and a slightly bigger gap.
Whatever you do, do not run the “flavor of the month” gimmick plugs.
I run the AC-CR43TS .033". These are inexpensive, available anywhere, and work great!
It has the larger center electrode to minimize the chance of "glowing" and, as a resistor plug, it minimizes radio interfrerence .
Even at higher boost levels, with Alky, I would run stock plugs, untill you can figure out through plug reading if/how they work.
See bottom of the link.

Here is a GREAT link for plug reading.
(No, the “end of the track shutdown” statement may not apply, but the basics in "plug reading" remain the same! ;) )

I just checked the plugs in my car now. Prev. owner has installed Bosch Platinum HR9 BPX plugs. They don't look to have many miles on them. They have the very small center electrode that comes up to a fine point and I don't think the gap is adjustable with these. How is this plug for these cars... Good, Bad or Ugly:D

IMHO, "Ugly"

I installed the AC-cr43TS plugs gapped at .033. I also found a deal on a bosch "237" fp regulater and installed that at the same time. Car idles smoother now:confused: . Also seems more responsive and absolutely no pinging at high boost like I had heard in the past. I think I am headed in the right direction.

Sounds good, i was running AcDelco plugs and wires. Switch to NGK v power and made a big difference:cool: Car ran smoother, idle, much better take off, all around better. the 237 FPR is great for street/strip i think, an adj is good 2 but 237 to be are fine.
