With the turbo they can use their knock sensor now :) muuuuch better

they were supposed to send me videos of this! i totally forgot it was last weekend.
 
Awesome set up and the perfect car to do it too.
Many guys were complaining that they wouldnt do it, but Ford really did their homework with the electronics on the 2003 Cobra as far as I can see. They have 2 knock sensors, a better fuel system and pretty large injectors as they come.
Did anyone see that those guys utilized the factory intercooler for that set up?
I think the install was very clean and well done. Should surprise a lot of people.
 
from what I know about the knock sensors in the 03 Cobras and the Lightnings from Diablosport is that the are pretty much turned off.... when turned on there is false knock from the noise of the blower

because the blower sits on top of the motor, the vibration from the blower kills the knock sensor. That is the main reason I sold my Lightning.

GM also used a 7.5 10 bolt... :p

I know a guy down here with an A4 LS1 Z28 running mid 10's with his stock 7.5" 10-bolt rear:) Other guys with M6 cars can't seem to get them to last once they are getting better than a 1.7 60' time, but this guy with a 4L60E trans is getting low 1.5 60' times with the stock 7.5" 10-bolt and has run plenty of mid 10 second passes without a problem.......

GM definitely knew what they were doing with our factory 8.5" 10-bolt rear cause there are guys running mid 8's and getting 1.3 60' times with them!!!
