Well I know that most people park thier toys (ie turbo regals) away for the winter but because mine is a daily driver I drive it to school. We got about 1/2 and inch of snow and ALOT of ice this morning and my mom told me to drive to school safely. I ran into a friend of mine on the street this morning and waited for him to catch up in a parking lot. After he got in the car, i accelerated and the next thing i knew I was facing the oppisite direction and i thought... THAT was COOL:cool:. Since the parking lot was an ice rink, people decided that it should be an Ice rink for cars and parked thier cars parrallel along the edges of the parking lot and were doing donuts and burnouts and reverse 180's in thier cars (which I DID NOT DO). I floored it into the parking lot in my 83 t-type and what fun it was. I did several donuts and we all stuck our heads out of the top as people cheered. It was SOO easy to do as well, just brake hard, turn the wheel, and give it gas. Long story short, I was unaware that my car could do that as it was the first time EVER driving in the snow, and I kinda learned how to countersteer in a skid, MAD fun.

How well to turbo buicks Handle in the snow, from my opinion, they handle HORRIBLy:mad::o, and I may just rent a heated storage space for the winter... what should I do:confused:

All depends on how long you want the car to stay nice. New well maintained cars begin showing rust between 6-8 years when daily driven in Upstate N.Y. My GN was put away over a month ago when the first salt truck went by.

Buy a SHIZBOX for the donuts & winter.. Just about any car will do donuts on ice even my kids go kart.

Now that I have 4 Blizzaks on my car no more donuts.

Let me know when you kids figure out braking on ice. ;)

Ive never had issues with my GN in the winter for some reason,I drive it all year round:confused:But my suggestion would be to buy a beater and save the TR from certain rusting issues...A $500 beater will save you that in just one door bottom fix...

What's snow?

Ill show you snow... alot for this part of the state that has an average temp... 2008 December Winter, 2006 ford Fivehundred King of the Snow:biggrin:

A buddy of mine said when he was younger he used to drive his car on a frozen lake in Michigan. Get it up to 50 or 60, pull the emergency brake, and see how many times you could spin around.

Everytime I go to the garage it feels weird not to see the T lurking there. At least she is in heated storage.

With good tires and a posi these cars are pretty good in snow. And if it's really slippery your not going to be under boost because there is no load.:D

I prepped my WE4 for snow driving last week, removed the stock intercooler scoop. Oh and my credit card for the nightly car wash before it goes into the garage every night when our city puts massive amounts of salt on the roads for a ****ing 1/2" of snow!

I drove my 84 in the winter in Alaska...it wasnt bad at all. I put two 50 pound bags of sand in the trunk got some studded read tires and drove her daily....i also washed it daily at work.

Snow, you guys are nuts. GN's are one of the worst bad weather cars ever made. I don't like to drive mine in the rain.

4 Blizzaks, a posi rear, extra weight in the rear, and a detuned chip (ie, valet chip) in the ECM, and I managed ok in winter. Paying for it now though, in terms of having to fix the rust issues.. :frown:

Yeah, upstate NY is crazy on the salt for these roads.

snow

I will never know how it drives in the snow! Never seen it never will!!!!! Snow and salt=rust
