I'm installing a Turbo Oil Drain Gasket (my old one is leaking just under the turbo). I got a new gasket and I want to know if sealant is required or do I install it dry???

The one I just removed had no sealant.

I'm under the hood now!

Thanks
Brandon

wet

Use a sealent or it will leak, they all do. just a little bit on both sides the way I did it no leaks if done properly

Just smear a thin bead of RTV on each side, snug up the bolts, let the RTV set up for about 20 minutes, and then tighten. You will have no leaks!

I guess everyone's experience is different. I've installed a few. Always dry and they never leaked.

Ole Turbo Tiano taught me the trick of using 3M blk adhesive on the drain back, works excellent on valve covers also. It’s a real pita when you clean old gasket thou, but it will not leak.
