turbo gasket?

I'm replacing my stock turbo for my 87 with another used stock turbo. I didn't have a gasket between the compressor and the header, or between the compressor and the downpipe elbow. Is this ok or am I missing something? Looks like I may have been having some blowby.

mine didn't have one either,did put one between header and turbo

Check out Remflex exhaust gaskets - OnLine Catalog . they have a collector gasket that will work .

I used a copper gasket on my 49, stock does not have one but I didn't want any leaks so....

If its the gasket that goes to the housing and the header SCE makes it#'s 4172 (copper embossed) nice. summit also carries then cheaper on shipping i think.$13.00

Another option...Product Detail Special Additions Bought this one at Bowling Green. Works well and is reusable. A little pricey though.
