Turbo Hook up help

So i just got done rebuilding my 3.8l in my 79 Buick Lesabre and i got it all back together. But I got rid of the 4 weird vacuum things that work with the egr cuz most of them were broke and the rubber lines were cracked. Now when i punch it i can get the the yellow power light but no red kick you back in the seat power like it sorta had before the rebuild. I think it has something to do with the waste gate. The front line is hooked up to the intake were it went but i dont remember were the line came that went to the back. Im wondering if i eliminated it with the emissions things. Oh and i removed the air pump cuz it was making noise since all it does is pump air into my exhaust per what the book says. So help what line goes to the back. Right now i just have a line from the carb going to it.

If the wastegate is hooked up wrong, it won't give low boost, it will give high boost. The wastegate limits boost to 9 psi. Your problems is elsewhere.

Rich is right. You've got a different issue. Go to his site and do some reading. It will save you a lot of time.
