installation instructions
I sent you an email with this info but I guess you didn't get it.
It really doesn't matter what order you put this together. This is just a guide but it's pretty simple.
Before you start, you want to be sure to have a roll of teflon tape. Tape all the male threads and you will have no oil leaks. After removing your turbo shield, remove your lower radiator hose from the water pump. This is an easy way to give you full view and access to your turbo feed oil line. Remove it using a 7/16 wrench. On the new lines, I have the fittings screwed on like they go on the motor. On one end of the long line is an adapter that takes the place of the inverted flared oil line. Apply your teflon tape on both sides of the adapter, and screw it on. Use a half inch wrench. Snug it up.
One part I wasn't thrilled with is that you have to move the turbo bracket to screw the L shaped fitting that goes in the turbo. It is on the end of the short line. Due to the shape, when you go to screw it on, there's not enough room. Once you install this fitting, re-install the turbo bracket. Again, don't forget to apply teflon tape to both sets of threads on this elbow.
Next thing to do is to attach the long braided line to the fitting you have installed at the turbo oil source. Just lower it down behind the turbo in the best straight shot route down. Start it on and tighten it using a 9/16" wrench. As your looking at it coming out of the block, curl it around to your right and direct the other end over the turbo towards the front of the car. Now, you can attach the short hose to the turbo oil feed, and face it the same way.
Take the oil filter adapter, and after applying teflon tape, install the 1/2" NPT bushings in the top of the adapter. Then install the the elbows in the bushings. Also, install the nipple on the underside which the oil filter screws on. Here are oil filters to use for this application. These are non bypass oil filters, meaning, no unfiltered oil will bypass into your turbo. WIX....51045, AC...PF59 or PF61, PUROLATOR...L25288, FRAM...PH3429, MOTORCRAFT...FL331
Now you're ready to connect the hoses. I supplied two bolts with proper threads to secure the oil filter adapter to the turbo bracket. Just install it with the bolts holding the adapter on with few threads.
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.............
Connect the long hose, the oil supply hose, to the "IN" port of the oil filter adapter. The "IN" and "OUT" ports are clearly marked on the oil filter adapter. This will route the oil from the oil pump location into the oil filter. Then connect the "OUT" fitting to the short hose, which, of course, directs the filtered oil into your turbo.
