Anybody have one by any chance i could purchase. There like 4$ on Evilbay and 10$ to ship it lol. Like really it cant fit in an envelope?
 
I heard that alot if people have troubles using anything but the original GM gasket.

That's kinda right. A lot of people have trouble with the GM gasket too.

Make sure to straighten the flange on the drain hose. Degrease both surfaces, apply a skim coat of RTV to both parts and both sides of the gasket. Let it 'skin over' for a few minutes, then assemble being careful not to disturb the RTV. Lightly torque he flange, let it sit for a few minutes then torque it fully.

After a couple of heat cycles snug the bolts down again.

That will give you the best odds of being leak free on the first attempt. (and if you don't want to wait for the gaskets you ordered, a custom one from a beer box will work for decades :) )
 
It took less time to make the gasket than to type that reply. Been running one for decades. (same with my TB and plenum gaskets too :) )


I guess it's a perception thing. To me it's more of a headache to order small gaskets and not finish the job than it is to just make one and put the car together.
