how hard is it, for a do it yourself person ,to rebuild a ta 49 turbo .and what tools are required . thanks rr

Not hard at all. You will need micrometers to mic the shaft.

i just took apart my old te60 that was blowin oil into the exhaust side...wasnt hard to take apart...seems to be only a few things on the inside of the bearing housing, and 4 of em are snap rings, im sure ordering the parts is the hardest part, and figure out PNs, like he said, micrometer to measure will be necessary, don't cheap out on one either, the more precise the easier it will be to order parts and not mess around with shipping back and forth
