TURBO THE CORRECT WAY!

I never did like the factory position of the turbo, and this is the third time I have changed the orientation once on my race car, and then another turbo T!

Also, the wastegate is usually at the front of the engine, so we tucked behind the turbo.

A custom alum inner fender well is in process, and the air filter will go below the front tire.

The header is a new TA stock replacement unit, and it was modified with a re-positioned 4 bolt flange.

The Vintage Air unit made this an easy conversion!

I've long thought that is the best orientation. Curious, have you been able to document any performance improvement with this arrangement?

Just got it started yesterday, have not yet been on the road!

Will install a TH 400 trans and the 30 spline axles before any track time.

But tuning the FAST is in order before serious action since it had a 66 mm turbo, and this one is a 70 mm. Using e-54 instead of e-85 will require some changes.

My guess it will run high 9's at 18-20 psi.
