Is there a turbo out there that is comparible to a ta-49, is dual ball bearing, and will work with a stock torque converter? Thanks for any feedback.

Does a non bb 6131 work with a stock converter ?
My searches seems to point to a 2800-3000 stall..
RUQWKNF seems to indicate you may have a different opinion in one of the other threads...

On my street car I have a 6131 Non BB with the stock converter (bone stock motor to the valve springs) and for me it is perfect. I can light the tires at will. BUT, I have a a PTE stock location intercooler, 2 3/4" exhaust, 3" downpipe and no Mass air (T-Pro). All these things help spool up. A car with a stock intercooler and downpipe likely would be a bit lazy.Does a non bb 6131 work with a stock converter ?
