I have a stock turbo(small i know),stock IC and all other parts to slap a rear mount turbo system on this 5.4L truck@ 4-5 PSI boost ..Im looking into fueling right now. Just wanted to see what you thought. I am not looking for a 9 sec truck, just a little more power. I really want to do this. Hers a pic.

I know magnacharger just came out with a kit....my friend has the same truck and is probably going to do that.

Probably not worth the trouble to put a turbo on the truck unless you REALLY have your heart set on it. An aftermarket blower kit would probably be your best bet.

Well, the thing is, I always wanted to turbocharge something and I know it can be done....I just cant see spending 4k for a kit and be happy. Sure, the HP will be great, but I kinda want to build it myself and get more enjoyment that way also.

I found a scan guage they make for this truck ($200)that will show you all sensory like the scanmaster. I also need to find a chip burner and get a cutom chip put in for fueling. Everything else should be IC,piping, turbo, dump, oil line, oil pump(in/out) and an alky kit from razor. Im guessing $1200-$1500 for all parts.

Is it STP that makes the rear turbo kits? If so they make one for a exploere which would probably be pretty close to the truck. You could maybe get your ideas from them.

you know TRUCKS that TV show on SPIKETV (Time Warnner Cable). One time they did a tubo f150, its was a 2 door coupe, short bed. Single turbo, low boost; i think it was only 8 psi. And the truck was a 99+ im sure of it.

Anyways they did all the ecm work, piping, and fuel work needed for a turbo. I tried looking for the episode on their website, but i had no luck. Only because they archive only within the past year. I saw this episode over a year ago, BUT you can email them and ask them. They are very friendly and will respond quickly.

Might save you some stress. Good luck.
