Long shot, but does anybody have a .63 exhaust housing for an old Turbonetics stage 3 cheetah? I have two broken bolts in my .82 housing so thought it would be a good time to switch

I have the turbo, but I know it needs rebuilding. I didn't get out last night, daughter's car had an issue and frankly, I forgot. I'll be sure to look tonight.

thanks,

JN

Went out and looked at it....exh housing is #20420..I was thinking that that was a .63 A/R...I cant find the p/n on the new "IMPROVED" t'netics website...all the #20420-X are .82. this is a no dash....I was thinking of fixing this turbo up (turbine has a chipped fin), but went with a '49 instead. Will this work for you???
Why not just buy the whole thing $100 + shipping...

thanks,

Jay

I already have the .82 housing (20420). I am looking for a .63 which is part# 20421. Since nobody seems to have one I will just drill and tap my .82 housing and throw it back together. Jay, thanks for the effort and offer.

Have the broken bolts milled out in a Bridgeport milling machine. It will be hard not to make a mess with a drill. Then you can re-tap and your good to go.

Yup, it's going to a fabrication/machine shop in the morning that does all our custom fab stuff for work. Thanks for the advice.

I might have one. Do you know the PN you need?

I need a #20421. It will also say .63 A/R on it. That part# however, can have five different trims so if anybody actually has a #20421, we can just compare measurements of the turbine wheel opening.

....an I could just SWEAR that I looked the 20420 on the old T'netics site and it was a .63 housing...not to mention that it SAYS .63 on it.....

 My 20420 housing says .82 A/R on it. I would post a pic if it wasn't at the machine shop. Here is a link to Turbonetics website which also confirms that. Not to say that for whatever reason back in the day they had the part #'s switched around ....

Wait....I stand corrected mine is actually a 20240 instead of 20420, which is what is on their website. Mine must be old as dirt as it doesn't look like they have a replacement housing...lol

I will check again. Unless the 6 looks like an 8. I will let you know tomorrow.

Are you still in need for one. I did not have a chance to look but I will tonight.
Let me know....:frown:

I don't think so. I got my broken bolts out of my housing and was going to put it back together and sell it. If you could still let me know if you have the .63 housing, I can keep it in mind if I decide to keep it. No hurry though. Thanks for helping out.
