Beautiful setup, looks amazing. Just food for thought. When I was doing the coilover setup in my car I reached out to TRZ Motorsports. In my opinion they are the Gbody kings for suspension upgrade because they are out testing at the track all the time. Mike at TRZ said that you "HAVE TO" strengthen your upper factory perch that your strut is bolted to. Weld gussets to it, or tie it in with a cage, or run a bar from one side of the frame to the other side of the frame, and weld brackets to that for the strut to bolt to. Reason being is that in the factory configuration, the strut and the shocks are in different locations from one another creating no stress in that spot. Once the strut and the spring are together, that upper perch is the weak point. It's thin gauged metal. He said it's not "IF" but "WHEN" that area becomes compromised on a launch, it is going to rip the strut clear out from that location and cause one hell of a mess to the rear end of the car. If it's just a street car you probably won't ever have a issue, but if you do track it from time to time then it is something that has to be addressed so your launches don't end up catastrophic.
That's a good idea and one I considered. Any strength you can add in that area is ideal. I might need to add 1 more bar :)

I forgot to update this...

Moser 9" with HR welded bar and then custom rear lower coil over brackets that mount the shock almost 100% straight up.

Not exactly worth the price in the end.

At least it’s how you want it and are happy with the results.
I think that’s worth a lot.

It is what I wanted but these could easily be $400 from Moser since it bolting to their rear end and lets just say, there's a digit missing from mine.

GNVYUS 1, who made your rear shock brackets on your rear? Did the=y come that way from Moser? I have a Moser 9" too, but my shock mounts on my rear are not the same as your. I am using a Ridetech air ride shock and Ridetech for the life of them can't seem to make a bracket that will match up with the Moser shock mount bracket. I don't know what to do with it other then to have something custom fabricated.

Custom made by Hochman Speed
Ben didn't save the design
I talked with Moser about having Hochman make these for them, they didn't care. I gave up on helping people/companies make money on my generosity and custom parts by offering them the results and designs.

These were 7x more than normal priced brackets, custom is pricey and takes time but can be the only option sometimes.

They are really nice! How did they do them? Did they fab, weld them on then powder coat. or did they make them and you installed them, then powder coated? Yeah, I don't mind the $$$$, but just as long as it's done right. What I have now from Ridetech is pure shit. And Moser is no help either. So if it means spending a few hundred $$$ and it's done right, then so be it. I'm in PA. What options do you think I have for them to help me?

The rear frame tie bar brkts I made were about $50 a pr.
Laser cut and bent. Materials were included.
I welded the seams. Had about 20 mins weld time in a pr.
$700 a pr for shock mts??

Hochman will want to see the car in person as he has no way to make them without it.
Find a great local shop and then clutch your wallet and leave.

I wish they cost $700, the trouble of not having a budget talked about before is how quickly things get expensive for real or not real reasons. The fact Moser doesn't offer a centered bracket is frustrating alone then to custom make another item just adds to the time and expense and then no one wants to keep designs to make future items and reduce costs so it's 1 of many reasons why I'm glad I'm at the end of this resto.

I use the UMI brackets on my GN. Not notched and running a 275/60 Nitto Drag Radial on 15 x 8 Centerline Revs with 4" backspacing. Was thinking back to my pro street days with my 66 Chevelle and ran a lower bracket similar to these. Wonder if that would work for you guys. QA1 MT104K QA1 HD Pro Coilover Conversion Brackets | Summit Racing or these Summit Racing SUM-727001 Summit Racing™ Coilover Shock Mounts | Summit Racing Might run into exhaust clearance with a straight up and down shock setup though.
