After fixing numerous small exh leaks on my headers
I can now say I love this turbo!:D

Spool up is WAY better than the t63 was. I can e-brake 16psi boost now:eek: :D  ! in my driveway!

I can't wait to get the line lock on and put some real gas in it.

My alky pump is dead so I'v been playing around half throttle on 15 psi boost and it "feels" faster than before when it was on 20psi.

I can say 15psi was way more than a Black LS1 SS could match from a 45mph punch on the way home today.:D

Did I forget to mention that I love this turbo?

No, just a little P-trim:).

Jack didn't recommend the Q for a Street car.

I have run a Q on the street for 1 yr and have had zero problems. Over 12# boost on the foot brake with a 3500 stall 9/11. Great spooling turbo.

Easy now Kenny..... I mean Russ, I recommended the P only because of the tameness of it compared to how violently the Q trim can be when it comes into boost on the street with anything other than sticky tires. After speaking extensively with Scott about his set-up, it just made "cents" as well. Obviously we made the correct choice, after seeing the "I love it" response.... kinda like you and me, I love ya man!!!!
By the way Russ, give me a call tomorrow, I have a new turbo I think you be da man to try it out, if you love the 70Q, I think we can take it a step further.

Scott, glad to see you are "lovin" your new turbo, I was waiting to hear from you this week if you didn't figure it out. I saw your post and the responses were what I would have told you to check, I didn't see any reason to repeat. If you ever have a problem with any product from us, please don't hesitate to call.

The BB70Q definately is violent! P-trims will make more power than most can handle, so people, please don't think I'm saying the P is "lame". It most definately is NOT!

Jack, You know I'm a sucker for new tech :p Will this new turbo still be TSM legal? That's the car it will be going on as I have my brand new BB70Q going on the street car and is more than enough! I'll give you a buzz.

Is a 3.5" downpipe necessary to run the 70 BB with a "Q" trim? Will a 3" allow it to spool properly?

Yup. All my runs last year were with a single 3" system.

Thanks Russ- i just got a BB70 turbo from Jack but opted for the "P" trim for mostly street use which i dont think i ll be dissapointed -if was all out race large block i guess id go with the "Q" option. I also have a precision .85 housing on my PTE-54 that i wonder if its interchangeable with the 70 BB?

I don't think you'll be disappointed at all.

Once I upgrade my fuel system I plan on a couple of mid 10 sec passes at around 130mph. If it doesn't blow up:( .

Excellent spoolup and mid 10's in a full weight car. Can't complain about that.:D

No, on the T-netics turbo stock. I would try it right out of the box and see how you like it. Might surprise you.
