I am having a problem with my wastegate and i ground hte vlave seat fo a better seal, So meanwhile i overtighten the small shaft on top and snap the stud off the end.
So i call them up to buy a replacement part,
THey sell no parts nor do they rebuild them.!!!!
You have to buy a new one
So , screw em, ill buy someone elses
THey must have he parts if they build them.
So i guess the yare throw away items.

Nice post Otto, didn't I ask you to send me the wastegate and I would see what I could do to get it repaired after your machinest screwed it up? Why are you blasting them when I, as a master WD distributor offered to help? Turbonetics does not deal with the public, they deal with their distributors. They will speak with customers, then usually refer them to a distributor. You know my phone number if you want help, instead of hammering on one of the better turbo companys.......

THis post was made before we spoke Jack. Check the time on it. I already had a local machinist make me a replacement (and a spare) so all is good.( I really do appreciate your offer)But i hate waiting for things to be fixed and i want to drive my car this weekend.
I really should have been more clear on the thread name, As i never had any problem warranting my turbo when there was a problem, Just think it sucks tha you cannot service a part of an assembly. I was told by a rep that i had to replace the entire wastegate as they do not service them.
If parts could be had thru a dealer he should have told me that and i would have,
But it does suck to hear that i have to spend $300 to replace a perfeclty good wastegate, when all i needed was a small part that could cost no more than 10 bucks
That Sucks

turbonetics does suck!!
We bought a CHRA w/ water cooling, sometime last year and decided to upgrade to a H-wheel this yr. I took the turbo and had them inspect it...anywayz after two wks I get a call stating the whole turbo is junk! I asked how possible we purchased the CHRA just last yr the vehicle had been driving less then 5K miles running at only 5psi. This guy (won't put name) swore to me, they have never sold a CHRA like the one I had in over 10yrs ( I was going to show him proof to make him look stupid, why?) ...I was so pissed I asked to speak to Joe, who was the only person we dealt with...unfortunately Joe had left a wk prior...this new fellow was just egocentric, nonchalant...the list goes on
Anyways I took my poor "old" turbo to good 'ol tony @ A-1 turbo. The journals needed to be replaced...and a rebuilt kit was also added. Turbonetics wanted us to purchase a new unit...
Sometimes they forget how they became big, we dealt with them when they where still at moorpark...now is nothing but new faces wanting $xxxx.xx business before they will do business with you...
Sorry had to vent...
