You may want to check out this new stink. Smells good to me...
Turbonetics | T3 Turbochargers

These turbos were released just a few days ago!! Brand new stuff.

If you don't have the $$$, you can buy my T70 BB from T'netics. Only two passes

I'm sticking with that brand. Good stuff!!

Ask Dan, (grumpy) how bad-azz these new wheels are. over 131MPH with a little 66mm wheel.

(Nice!)

Cotton will be selling these as soon as possible.

Welcome To CottonsPerformance.com!

ya Melissa's Turbonetics 66 has worked great .. 10.28@ 132 was her best time with it  Ran mostly in the 10.3's @ 132 ..

I have a standard "T-series"

70mm.

Insta-spool and spin tires at the track. I should have bought the larger turbine housing, I have a .65, not the .81

I have ported GN1 heads.

Maybe Dan can comment.

I have a rather loose non-lock Art Carr c'verter

What are you calling insta-spool, I didnt think a T70 would spool very quick on a Buick GN. But if you have a 3500 plus convertor I guess it would still spool pretty quick considering you are probably around 4000 pretty quick to help it spool.

I am wanting a turbo that has quick response with all the Hourse power I can get. I dont want to run a extremely loose convertor because it will be street driven alot. Although I am going to install a 4l80e tranny with lockup and this will help me get by with a bit of a convertor but I still just dont want a real loose convertor on the street. I will be running a set of fully ported Iron heads and a set of SS headers & DP of my design with a BS3 ECM and a built bottom end. I Am looking at the T61bb,T67bb, and GT4088r but this new Turbo from turbonetics sounds interesting. I will wait to build my headers until I buy a Turbo so I can work with any turbo style.

One thing I dont understand is it is a 66mm compressor wheel and supports 700hp. The GT4088r is a 63mm compressor wheel and it will support 700 to 800hp ( I have seen 780hp to the wheels but not on a Buick). It looks like the GT4088r would out spool the 66mm just because it has a smaller wheel. The transiant response on the GT wheels is very good also. But I know the turbonetics turbo also has a GT wheel.

One thing about the GT 4088r is it needs very high boost to support this level of horse power, but still yet it will make around 550hp by 22psi on pump gas.

I would be very interested in know what this new GTK66 spools at. It may make more than 700hp that they claim on there site for hp limit. Because at a 131mph depending on what this car weighs may be over 700hp. And I wander if it is at its limit on these runs.

Hey Dan, do you have a link to all the mods to your daughters car written down?
What exact turbo do your have, you got it from cotton right?

Let us know, i might sell a turbo and try out one of these new t-netics

Well, I'm not sure the compressor maps have been released yet to compare the full range of these turbos.

I am refering to my spoolup at the track, but when I stomp on it from idle on ther street, it still makes me happy.

I've had a 44, 49, PT52, te61, gt67, and now the t70.

I don't like a spool up to be too fast. Just blows away the tires.

If you have ported irons and are looking for street response, I'd go with the turbo Grump has.

Actually guys, these turbos listed on the T-netics site are just the standard combos they offer. We at Cotton's Performance use custom configurations to achieve higher HP levels or desired spoolup time based on a particular combination, type of driving or performance desired. In other words, a loose convertor for the desired performance is not always necessary, picking out a combo with me will allow for my experience to help you choose a combo that works for you, based on my experience building many cars over the years. An example of that experience would be the car we built for a customer from NY, for Frankie. We built this car in several articles with GMHTP magazine based on a 10 second street car. I can assure you, it is no slouch even though we have yet to get a time slip. We plan on running the car at Atco next saturday before the Buick-Ford shootout and I fully expect it to run "the" number we built it to run and still be fully streetable. Frankie picked up the car from my shop in Mass lastw eek, driving back home to New Rochelle, all I can say, he is more than happy with the street manners and is yet to open up the throttle fully with 15lbs of boost. Speaking with him a few times this past week has led me to believe the Turbonetics 70-p ball bearing turbo coupled with a N|L up Art Carr convertor runs beautifully on the street and highways, he has zero complaints. Combination is everything here, one part out of cink can kill a combo. Dan's turbo, a 66-Q-trim is a killa turbo...... another example of a slight turbine wheel change from the standard P-trim...

As for the comparison between the different turbo suppliers, T-netics makes all of their own parts, their BB turbos are second to none, we have been selling them for more than 5 years with almost perfect results. The design is one that is proprietory to them, no one can copy. Hence others have come up with dual BB's, requiring water cooling, which you do not need with the T-netics turbo. T-netics comes wiith a full 1 year warrentee, built in oil feed filter, VSR balancing, (balanced as a complete rotating assembly), no one else does that, polished compressor housing, all turbos are big shaft units, no one else offers that either. We are a dealer for Precision Turbo and also offer their products, the new DBB turbo are built by Garret and have been adapted by Precision for use on our Turbo cars, another excellent alternative for us to offer. Although they are relatively new to us, they seem to work excellent as well, willl require water cooling and I believe a turbo savor is recommended to keep a clean supply of oil feeding it. As with any Ball bearing turbo, spool up characteristics are greatly improved when using a BB turbo.
hope this helps,

here's a link ... this is a street car !! driven everyday ..Hey picked the wife up at the airport friday afternoon  Sat in Boston traffic for a while !!! Drives like a "beater" ... Turbo works AWESOME BUT a lot has to do with "the combination" with all the other junk .. She has a new motor coming out with Champion heads. they are a lot bigger and flow more than what she has now . IF they don't work (to big) we will just go back to the mild set up . We also run a tight LU converter. Haven't locked it up at the track yet (want a billet drum first) but the LU is great driving this on the street.. Oh ya ...she doesn't blow the tires away  We will be down @ Atco to see if we can get a little more traction and get some decent times out of it .. Predictions???? HELL NO !!! let the car do the talkin :p ok Ill say mid-low 11s MAYBE

JCotton, do you carry the new GTK series Tnetics turbos yet? It is going to be two months before I do any buying so I am in no hurry. This will give me a chance to see any more results out of these turbo anyway. LOL , a Black turbo - hehe, thats one that any Buick guy would have to like. J/Ken now, they look good but its not to take place over real performance, thats number one priority.

I think they look badazz!! Ceramic coated turbine housing, polished and anodized black compressor housing, ceramic balls, state-of-the-art compressor cover engineering and wheels.
They may not make a drop in for the GN quite yet, but I'm sure Jack can work out a little something for ya.
Sick!

Yea, they do look good. I want need them to be a direct drop in because I am custom making my header,DP and charge piping so it would be easy fo me to run one.

That thing is so killer!!!! If you call, post what he says!!! It'd be awesome if he can get that black beauty in our black beauties!!
