Can some one help me with how this looks, if it is right or not? Something doesn't look quite right wth the way the spring positions the long rod. Not sure why something doesn't keep straight up. The pin sticks out on the side and may interfere with the TV cable inside.

most people trash that spring and j rod...but your set up look correct...that 's the factory fail safe if the TV cable breaks....not really sure why most leave them out..I did:)

Steve, are you sure this is correctly assembled? Does anyone else have a photo of a TV assembly? I want to be sure before I put the pan back on. Thanks

paul

It's correct. Once you align the rod with the hole in the valvebody on assembly it won't interfere with the T.V. cable. You can leave it out but then you will have to remove the check ball. It's there as a safety in case the T.V. cable breaks.
