Well, I'm getting frustrated again. Everything that can go wrong with this car does!!

Got a pres gauge from Bruce (Nice setup!), and found out I had low pressures, no tv boost in L1,L2.

So I got pts valve body kit, and pr kit. I'm finished the valve body kit, but could not move the boost valve (frozen in place, no up or down movement). Did a search and found the method to blow it out of there. Left the retainer ring out, and put the rest together, and filled with fluid. Well, it would not blow out!! I was able to get ~240 psi in reverse, but it would not pop out.

I am thinking about drilling carefully, and threading the tv boost valve bushing. Put a bolt in it, and try to pull it down, wiggle it etc. Will this work, or am I just wasting time. Remember the 240 psi would not blow it out.

Also, is it likely that the pump is damaged, and even if I do get the parts out, that the bore will be screwed up, and not work properly with the new parts??

Any other tips or ideas welcomed!!

Thanks
Mike Jones

.

If its the original TV go ahead and drill and tap it , pull it out. Just after its out check the bore make sure its not gouged up.

I have one stick and i lightly tapped it side to side till it popped right out

I've had the most luck with stuck ones, by using a small brass punch and ball peen hammer, just keep tapping (hitting) it 'til it breaks lose, then just keep working it up and down 'til the spring pressure pushes it out.

Another sure-fire way is to leave the retaining ring off and put the pan back on the transmission. Put fluid in it, put it in gear and power brake it. That'll usually pop it out.

When it goes, you'll know it. It'll have neutral in every gear. :p

It`s late!~~/

You`d think that would do it,sharp edge must be digging in prob. try & get it to move up first.
