Ok here we go again...

I just got my tranny rebuilt, and I got the tranny shifting around 4500-5000 like it supposed to (tranny guy did it when test driving when I picked up from shop).

NOW, I can't get the TPS right! Never had the problem before tranny died, values were always (0.42/4.60's-4.70's). I have key on/engine off, and TPS @ .42, but WOT value is at 3.80's! I played with TV cable, and got WOT to around 4.55, but now tranny shifts like sh*t! (sluggish) What the hell?

I know I'm new to this, but what to do? Was my tranny rebuilt wrong? It is a BRF, and he re-used the servo and govenor (which I hear you do)...so any ideas fellas? I did just put on a 62mm TB and 62mm Hemco if that has anything to do with it. Also slapped in a Orange Strip (3000 stall) that i bought from board member same time when tranny was put in.

Any ideas whats up? what I should do?

I would re-adjust the TV cable to where the trans is shifting firm again. Running it too loose can cause problems. If you can't move your TPS forward enough to get the WOT position over 4.5 then take a small file and file away the slots in the sensor until you can get the adjustment you need.

Hammer231 & Tony,

Thanks for the info/help! I will play with the TPS a little more and see what I can get out of it. And now that I think about it, I think you're right Tony, I think I remember reading that somewhere. But I can not verify that by looking thru the www.gnttype.org archives cuzz the site is down. Will look into it later...

Thanks fellas!
