TV Cable question

The TV cable on my budies car gets stuck once and a while. If you give it a few tugs it comes free for a while (months) but comes back. It is getting stuck only about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch out. Actually it is not really stuck but it gets kind hung up. The cable is only a few years old. How hard is it to clean the piston area in the valve body? Or should we replace the cable again?

It may not be the valve that is hanging up but the bell crank lever that operates it. Take a look at the lever and make sure the spring is on correctly and not broken. Also make sure the wire that connects the cable to the lever is on correctly.
