TV cable stuck on 200R4.

Folks,

What could cause the TV cable to stick on the 200r4 in my wagon? I went to drive it, and couldn’t move the accelerator pedal. After a little head scratching discovered that the TV cable was what was bound up. I disconnected it just to be able to move the car, but I need to fix this. The trans has about 70,000 miles on it since the last rebuild and the TV cable has never hung up like this before. Is there an easy fix before I pull the pan?

The linkage is bound at the vb. if you step on it hard it will break the little 90* tang that engages the cable. Pull the pan off to inspect
