I'm working on getting the engine back to operating and the cable is preventing the throttle blade from opening completely? What gives? It is approx. 30* from parallel which is quite a bit. Even tried fulling the cable out all the way to see if it was just too tight. Ideas?

P.s.-

I dohave a 1/2" spacer under tb, but it didn't effect it the last time.

Yep, it's routed

correctly. It's routed from the trans, up behind the intake manifold, past the coil pack, and thru the holding bracket. apparently the actuater was stuck in on the tv cable, combined w/the stick I was using to hold the accellerator in place, had slipped back, leaving the play in the pedal. once I reset the accellerator(for the fourth time) It worked. Thanks for the replies.
