What is the right way to adjust the TV cable? I just put my car on the road after 8.5 years on rebuilding it and now its time to play.

Push in the metal piece that faces the drivers side fender where the cable attaches to the bracket on the dog house. As you depress this piece pull the cable back towards the wirewall till it stops. At this point you can either get in the car and push the gas pedal all the way to floor (NOT RUNNING OF COURSE) or throttle the car from under the hood as far as it will go. You will hear the cable click as you do this...That should put it to the factory setting. Usually if you throttle the car from under the hood not using the gas pedal you can get an extra click out of it. Not sure the extra click is necessary. I've done it both ways and couldn't tell a difference in how the car shifted.

There may be some fine tuning of the adjustment after the initial setting that Tony described.
