HELP

It is more than likely your main board. This is a common issue on Plasma's of lower grade and even sometimes on the good ones. Plasma's run hotter than LEDs and LCDs and can cause issues on the solder joints if they are not done well at the factory. You can find a main board if you look hard enough but it may be pricey. If you can't get it fixed and still want a Plasma, stick to Panasonic, Pioneer, Samsung, and Sony. If you can't fix it and want to go with something other than a plasma, any name brand led will be suffice. Any good brand tv can be had for the about the same price as a cheap brand if you shop for it. Being in the Electronics Field, I have seen really expensive stuff not last and really cheap stuff last a long time. Although, most of the time quality products will yield quality results and longevity.

Shake the TV a bit after you turn it on to see if does anything else.
