I'm pricing lifts for my shop now and thought I would ask if anyone had any advice or preference....Or who to buy from? I can install it myself so that isn't needed. Asymetrical or not? Thx Scott

I designed my garage for a use of a lift, and have researched it extensively. Since you're in the same area as me I'd suggest www.mecoequipment.com out of Mobile. Since you're close, you may get a good deal on delivery. Email me and and I can refer you to Ken in sales. He's a great guy to deal with and will be very upfront and honost about what you need. Just shoot me that email..

Call Brett Barnes and ask him where he got his,you know his cheap ass did alot of shopping around;)

Yea, I didn't think about calling Bret..Good idea. I just priced a Rotary Asymetrical 10k lb with a two year warranty for $3400 installed. Only $300 bux for installation so I think I 'll let them do it...Bishir I'm checking out Meco now. Thx

edit: That website is not pulling up for me?

I bought a 10,000lbs lift for $1550 plus $250 shipping. It is still in the boxes sitting in my garage. It is made in USA and the quality looks good. I haven't assembled it yet so I can't backup anything up.

This is the company i used lift around $2300 shipped for a 9k lb asymmetrical, I would stress getting an asymmetrical one.

I know that rotary lifts will take a lot of abuse, I overload them quite often. The heavier the object, the more important it is to get a good lift. If it's just a TR or half ton pickup, a cheap asymmetrical will work just fine, and work real good with the TR's huge doors. Lifting a 3500 4X4 4-door dually? You'd better spend the cash to get a good one.

hope this helps.
