I hope you guys dont mind reading about my races. I didnt race any GN's and I drive a Supra, but they are races right?

On Saturday I was cruising towards my house on 80 from Vallejo and I saw a nice black Yamaha R1 coming up behind me at about 90. I thought it should be a fun race so I turned up my boost a little (to 18#) and sped up a little to match his speed. As we're both cruising at 90 I shot him a rev. He looked at me and nodded. I downshifted and he punched it. Before I could even wind out 3rd he was a good 5lenghts on me. Once I hit 4th I pulled maybe 1 car on him and then he just walked away. I have never been beaten that badly on the freeway.

Last night was differant though. I was sitting at my friends house on his computer, yes this computer. Talking with Jordan. Hes the one who introduced me to the joy of Web Forums. Anyway, I get a call on my cell phone that some kid wants to race me and is willing to bet $2000. Naturally I agree and drive to the auto-mall where I'm supposed to meet them. I pull up and I see a GSX-R750, my friends bike, an older MR2, a couple of civics, shocking I know, and a newer Mustang GT. At this point I'm not sure which car I'm going to be racing.

My friend Jay, with the 750 walks up to me with this cocky looking asian kid. He was the one to race me. He looked at my car and kind of scoffed. I'm instantly offended. So I try to intoduce myself, give him a second chance. He shakes my hand and mumbled his name. Paul. So Jay starts to talk about the race. Paul is so sure of him self he says "man **** that, let this boy pick the race." BIG mistake on his part. So I tell him lets race from 120-160 for $5000. For some stupid reason he has more balls then his car does and agreed to the race. He runs to his car and pulls out more money from his glove box. Jay apperently knew I was good for the money and didnt get it from me. Paul seemed irked by that, but didnt complain.

We head down a little ways to Red Top Road and turn around back towards Fairfield. I pace him up to 120, not really pushing it, but I think he was. He gets up to about 130 and starts to coast a little. Jay gets in between us on his bike and pulls up a little ahead to flag us. He throws his arms up, then down. I dont think the little MR2 knew what it was in for. The race lasted less than 15 seconds. And thats all it took to put about 20-25car lenghts on his 'lil Yota. The funny part is, I was only running 19#'s of boost. I couldve upped it and rubbed it in. But I think I got my point across.

I can appreciate a good kill even if it is from an import!:D
Actually, I am a big fan of the MKIV Supras. I guess in some ways, those cars are the Japanese GN's. i.e, mucho street respect, looks, and not to mention a V8 stomping turbo V6!

Supra Huh?

Interesting, the only heads up street race I've ever lost was to a TT Supra, I guess it was around a 95 or 96 model, but that was before my turbo/intercooler swap! We'll have to wait and see. - BB:D

import or not, i believe that supras deserve respect from any automotive enthusiast.

153 mph traps    Before i saw the sig i was thinking, man this guy is cocky. Now i see why.

I try to be as humble as possible most of the time. Dont let the 153mph trap speeds fool you, my car isnt the greatest. Im sure about 30% of the people on this forum could eat my car at the track. But from a roll its a differant story, Supras were designed for top end speed.

Yeah

The guy who ate my breakfast talked me into a 10 MPH punch, when I told a good buddy of mine about the race the first thing he said was, "you didn't go from a roll did you?" I said yeah, so he called me an idiot and then we had a good laugh. - BB:p

Any videos? How about videos of the 9 second run?

Care to race some of the 'slow' 10 second cars running around in the southbay?

There is a supra in my area that Im sure would try you out for a big stack. But then again, Im sure you already know who I am talking about. Look at my location.

Also, something doesnt seem right. You signiture says you go 9.70's @ 153, yet you raced from 120 to 160 and it took 15 seconds? It shouldnt have lasted more than 6 seconds if you are really that fast.

Marko's car is real and this guy is fake. Let's not compare the two.

Man, I posted a kill story once, but Rollin deleted it because I didn't drive a TR... I guess it's really jsut because my car isn't fast enough :(

Nice Kill

Your from Brea? Thats not too far from me, Whittier Area. Maybe Ill see you around some time.

I missed this moronic comment. The Supra was designed to be a GT car. It just happens to be good at high speeds because people tend to pick parts and tune for them have a small peaky powerband.

My moronic comments aside, Sorry for not responding earlier, I dont have a computer and can't check here very often.

The reason it took as long as it did is because I could not run as high boost as I did at the track. Pump gas in California sucks. And I also wasnt using nitrous. I can't make daily 9 second passes. I wish I could. In normal every day use my car could maybe pull back to back high 10's, but 9's are out of the question without 110octane and nitrous.

Ok true Supra's were not designed really for top end. But they are better at it then drag racing.

Must be nice to race an unknown car for $2000 or even $5000 at a moments notice.

TurboSupra, what do you think about that thread on Supraforums? Show those guys that you are not some troll and bring out the 9 second Supra and smoke them!!! Unless of course you are just a troll that doesn't really have a 9 second Supra??

So you went in the 9's with 110? There aren't many who run in the 9's, and for those that do run something better like C-16.

Why dont you post a picture of your car and your time slip. Until then, you are full of sh!t. Even the guys on supraforums.com think so.
