I hope you guys dont mind reading about my races. I didnt race any GN's and I drive a Supra, but they are races right?
On Saturday I was cruising towards my house on 80 from Vallejo and I saw a nice black Yamaha R1 coming up behind me at about 90. I thought it should be a fun race so I turned up my boost a little (to 18#) and sped up a little to match his speed. As we're both cruising at 90 I shot him a rev. He looked at me and nodded. I downshifted and he punched it. Before I could even wind out 3rd he was a good 5lenghts on me. Once I hit 4th I pulled maybe 1 car on him and then he just walked away. I have never been beaten that badly on the freeway.
Last night was differant though. I was sitting at my friends house on his computer, yes this computer. Talking with Jordan. Hes the one who introduced me to the joy of Web Forums. Anyway, I get a call on my cell phone that some kid wants to race me and is willing to bet $2000. Naturally I agree and drive to the auto-mall where I'm supposed to meet them. I pull up and I see a GSX-R750, my friends bike, an older MR2, a couple of civics, shocking I know, and a newer Mustang GT. At this point I'm not sure which car I'm going to be racing.
My friend Jay, with the 750 walks up to me with this cocky looking asian kid. He was the one to race me. He looked at my car and kind of scoffed. I'm instantly offended. So I try to intoduce myself, give him a second chance. He shakes my hand and mumbled his name. Paul. So Jay starts to talk about the race. Paul is so sure of him self he says "man **** that, let this boy pick the race." BIG mistake on his part. So I tell him lets race from 120-160 for $5000. For some stupid reason he has more balls then his car does and agreed to the race. He runs to his car and pulls out more money from his glove box. Jay apperently knew I was good for the money and didnt get it from me. Paul seemed irked by that, but didnt complain.
We head down a little ways to Red Top Road and turn around back towards Fairfield. I pace him up to 120, not really pushing it, but I think he was. He gets up to about 130 and starts to coast a little. Jay gets in between us on his bike and pulls up a little ahead to flag us. He throws his arms up, then down. I dont think the little MR2 knew what it was in for. The race lasted less than 15 seconds. And thats all it took to put about 20-25car lenghts on his 'lil Yota. The funny part is, I was only running 19#'s of boost. I couldve upped it and rubbed it in. But I think I got my point across.
