Typhoon Trans Question

My buddy has a 92 Ty stock with 63K miles on it. When at crusing speed ocasionally when you give it a little throttle the drive line stutters a bit, if you give it more it clears up. It feels like to me that the convertor is not unlocking. When it clears the rpms rise like they should. When you floor it it always works fine.

I had a Chevy conversion Van that did the same thing for years.

Could it be the lock-up switch is not working right? Is this some thing easily replaceable?

try replacing the lock up solenoid,or better yet follow the appropriate diagnostic procedure for lock up glitches.could be the 4/3 switch

Is there somewhere instructions on replacing the lock-up solenoid. Any help on doing so would be great, Thanks.
