Did anyone see the fights last night & see Lesnar get schooled? As usual, Noguiera got beat up for a while & then submitted Tim. Marquart needs a haircut don't you think! What's up with the UFC raising the pay-per-view price? Broc must pull in alot of people.

Does anyone on here attend any of the smaller shows around the country? I'll be down in Sarasota, F.L. next Saturday for the Bonecrunch Fights. It's an "IFL" style league (in case you've never heard of it), but they use a cage instead of a ring. We'll have a team here in Charlotte in the "BF" league next year & more are scheduled to start up in '09 as well. Let's get it on

My brother is a very avid fan of UFC. We have been to Vegas twice for the fights. I told him how I was always on guard in Vegas due to thieves and he told me they would look for easier targets. I said, It's UFC weekend, We are the easier targets. :biggrin: We are only 6'1 and 260 each.

I have also went to another event at one of the casinos by Clearlake, Ca. We got excellent seats because he was doing some photography for the fight promoter.

for those who want to see why WWE members or x members have no idea
what real MMA is all about; it doesn't matter how many tat's you have
or how big you "think" you are. Frank is legit and said it best....

but major props to Lesner; he didn't flip out, or be disrespectful. His speech @ the end was PROFESSIONAL!
and I was impressed he was able to keep his cool, I guess he isn't just a meat head after all. I forsee a bright
future for him, if he is serious enough about MMA.

I think that if you give Lesnar a year more he is going to be the HW champ. College wrestling is crazy, and to be the NCAA champ(2 or 3 times) is TOUGH, he is going places in MMA. Mir is also someone that should not be taken lightly as he has a whole bag of tricks. Sylvia is overrated, just because he is 6'8 they give him some sort of advantage, his stand up is ok but his groundgame needs alot of work. Big Nog is crazy, in Rings and Pride and wrecked people so I figured he was going to take Sylvia via submission. Good card though, I see Sylvia vs Lesnar soon....Oh and Henderson vs. Silva is going to be a crazy fight...dont miss it...

your welcome I havn't paid for payper veiw in a long time,
dailymotion is just a good site that has guick uploads the day of or after,
other sites broadcast live for free, but those are secret

and yes if lesner is serious, which he did sound....give him some more time. I think
he could be a good contender if he wasn't such a stiff meat head heh. More flexability,
more g-gists defense, he could be the next tank abitt I think.

Yeah Broc will become a great fighter 'cause he's got the mindset already. He needs to get in a good camp though & learn some BJJ.

You hit it on the head GNguy, Tim is overrated due to his size. As usual, Noguiera was a punching bag the first rounds & then he showed what the Brazilians do best.

I hate Jeremy Horn didn't submit Nate Marquardt. I guess with 88 wins, he's not doing too bad though.

What I really want to see is Kurt Angle get into the ring after some BJJ and Muay Thai training......supposedly all the Team quest guys like Hendo, Couture, Lindland(cant remember the rest)....all of them get demolished on the mat against Angle. If you watch all of his matches in the olympics, he is an incredible wrestler. But yes, HENDO all the way, even though it looks like Silva is unstoppable at the moment.

Man you guys still pay for fights? I havent paid for a ufc fight since...... like ufc 61! So i guess no one here uses fta boxes? you guys should look into that. Perfectly legal for those wondering.

This was a pretty good show.
I enjoyed both of the heavyweight fights.

I am hearing rumors that Lesner's next fight
could be Cro Cop. If Mirko can stay on his feet
you will see a nice KO.

Yes they are free to air boxes. what they do is basically pic up the signals sent by the dish companies and descramble them and then you have all the channels. hbo, ppv, cinamax, showtime, ect, and locals. the only bad thing is from time to time the companies send out ecm's that scramble the signal and thus your box "crashes" which means you cant get any channels. then you wait for the coders to come up with new software, then you download the software and your up and running again. usually you could get uninterupted tv for like 1week to 3 months, when it crashes it takes anywhere from 10 minutes to a few days to get new software. all you need is a fta box (various brands and models) and a satellite dish. i went from spending $150 a month (around $200 when there where ufc fights) to $0 month after purchasing my fta box. get all ppv, indemand, hbo, etc etc for $0 month. check out the link below, ask questions and you will be happy once you get rid of your cable/satellite bill! Oh and its perfectly legal!!!!!
