I think it's much easier to buy a car already restored than to go through all this trouble to do it yourself. The only good part about doing it yourself is you will KNOW what's under the paint and under the interior pieces.

Rims look good in the last set of pictures... how did you clean them? Did you use Alan Minga's routine?? Nice car, gonna' be REAL nice... :)

Looking good. That thing is going to look sweet when it is finished. It is alot of work but it is well worth it in the end.
Good luck with it. Chris

I'll probably be doing the same thing to my GN next year.

I bead blasted them first then scuffed the shiny areas out with 3M scuffing pads. I might go back and polish them some more but they look pretty good as is.

I see you have "one of those" rooms stuffed with all your TR stuff while the car is being finished. I have one of those romms too. Looks like you're making progress.

Where did you get the seat covers from? Jax? They look pretty good in the pics. I might have to break down and buy a set.

I put some carpet jute all over the interior to make things quieter and to help the heater and a/c.

The blue courtesy lights are just temporary until I get my white LED's in the mail. The blue dash lights are not Kirbans kit. I had a strip of LED lights just laying around and decided to see what they would look like installed in the dash.

While I had the doors off I removed the window regulators and installed some helper springs. Now, the window motors won't have to work so hard rolling up the windows!

2 Dodge Intrepid cooling fans used as ventilation of the paint booth...lol! They worked very nice since they move LOTS of air without having to suck through anything.

Ahhhhhh memories! I've done this wonderful restoration 4 times now. I keep telling myself I will never do it again because it takes soooooo much money and sooooo much time! You were right when you said it may be easier to buy something someone has already restored! Problem is a lot of people do things half a$$ed and I am just not fan of crappy work. Good luck and congrats on an awesome project coming along very nicely!!!;)
