Can you make an up pipe out of anything that's the same size, shape and diameter? Could you use copper?

Copper, Stainless, PVC, aluminum, steel, brass, reinforced rubber hose, radiator hose, titianium, un-obtainium (we use ALOT of that on aircraft
, but that's why we are so far behind), inconel, carbon fiber, kevlar, fibergalss, or just about anything that will withstand 60psi. Intercooler plumbing is pretty low pressure and tempurature requirments. A polished copper up pipe might look real cool, especially if you have to sweat all the joints. Hey it might even work for a down pipe if it is thick enough. There are some guys running aluminum down pipes in drag cars. 7 seconds of 1700* won't melt a aluminum pipe especially if it's coated. Post a picture if you make it.
